Many times, we are inspired by the people we are surrounded by. When I was quite young, my aunt who is a nurse, changed the bandages on my injured hand, taking care of me. I admired her for it and from the age of eight I knew I wanted to be a nurse, just like her. As a nurse, she had so much passion for helping people who could not help themselves to recover from illnesses.
The reason why I wanted to become a nurse is because it is so rewarding to make a difference in someone’s life. It is a career that helps you save lives. It brings happiness to individuals and their families, and comfort those in need. Nursing is not for the faint of heart and requires a lot of sacrifice and patience. I am a person who likes to get challenged. My aunt has repeatedly told me, no day is ever the same, and each day offers a variety of challenges that keeps you learning and excited about the profession. I have had a bit of experience of working in a hospital setting, that have prepared me for the nursing program. During this time, I was able to work with highly capable nurses. This allowed me to have a better understanding on both the medical side and practical side of this filed. Firstly, I want to help people. When you are in a hospital the patients need emotional warmth and tender words.
A nurse spends more time with patients then the doctor, and create a comfortable atmosphere for the patient. The nursing profession is challenging and diverse. Every person is different and each one of us reacts differently to certain situations. I believe that nursing is one of the most interesting career that continues to expand in today’s society, and I know I am going to enjoy the impact I can make in my patient’s hospital visits. A nurse is much more than just a caretaker of the ill. A nurse is a gentle person, someone who considers the patients’ needs first and delivers healthcare in a professional and kind way. The diversity and learning opportunities that nursing offers makes it the best field for me to get into. Coming from another country to study in is one of the most unique experiences a person can get. The biggest reason why I am studying abroad is because of the chance to see the world. I get the golden opportunity to explore and visit new places, and I can get lost in the culture of the country I live in. Studying abroad helps you learn more about yourself and challenges you as a person. It gives you new ideas and perspectives about yourself and your own culture. Studying aboard gives you opportunities to study with the best professors.
Another important benefit of why I am studying abroad is that I can add this experience to my CV. This will help me stand out from the crowd. The country I want to study in is England. A big reason why I want to study In England is to expand my language. There is no more efficient way to learn a language then speak the language you are learning daily. Studying in England will help me develop language skills. Studying abroad will increase my skills and knowledge. The city I want to study in is London. London is a global, vibrant and diverse city. I have always been fascinated about British culture. I love so many things of British society, the art, the history, traditions, royalty, food and the landscapes. When I as fourteen me and my family travelled to London to spend Christmas there. From that moment, I have been in love with the city. One thing I noticed from the short time I was there, is that British people are very tolerant to foreigners, and respect the freedom to have different opinions and belief.
To have the opportunity to study in London would be the most amazing experience of my life so far. I want to meet new people, experience new cultures, see new sights and become more independent. The university I want to study in is, London South Bank University. First time I was interested in the university after seeing its beautiful building. Later history and traditions of the school mixed with modern landscape of London fascinated me even more. Also, LSBU offers the classes that I need to take that goes towards my degree. At LSBU, I can find classes and majors that would tailor my interest and guide me to the right direction. The system of the nursing course, fit perfectly for me. I want a university experience with an atmosphere that inspires young individuals to demand a change in the world, and I think LSBU is the perfect place.
